Hi, my name is Michelle Lingham, Founder and Principal Advisor at Distinguished & Global Talent Visas.
With over 17 years of experience in immigration law, I am licensed to practise in both Australia (0850080) and New Zealand (201100250).
I am deeply passionate about Australia’s immigration system, particularly the National Innovation Visa (NIV) Subclass 858 and corporate migration through employer sponsorship programs.
These pathways are designed to bring the world’s brightest minds and most innovative businesses to Australia, strengthening our economy and future.
Australia is full of opportunity, but timing is everything. Time and again, I’ve seen visa programs close, eligibility criteria tighten, fees rise, and in many cases, people who were once eligible suddenly find themselves ineligible as migration regulations shift.
The window to act does not stay open forever.
Let’s explore your visa options together. My team and I would be honoured and privileged to support you in building your future and thriving in Australia.
I’m currently available for consulting engagements.
Since the beginning of my career I have worked with the Subclass 858 visa program. It was originally known as the Distinguished Talent Visa, in 2019 it transitioned into the Global Talent Visa, and in December 2024 the National Innovation Visa was introduced.
Over the years migration regulations have continued to change and evolve to align with national priorities and values. Those who embrace change are often the ones who go the furthest.
This is why I am so passionate about this visa program. It is extraordinary to witness the journeys of these individuals and to celebrate their careers through the pathway of a visa application.
Today, I advise a diverse portfolio of international clients, from high-growth startups to global enterprises, on strategic migration pathways to Australia. I am a strong advocate for Australia’s immigration system, particularly the National Innovation Visa (NIV) Subclass 858 and global talent attraction. Through my work, I actively promote opportunities for entrepreneurs, innovators, and businesses to thrive in Australia’s dynamic ecosystem.I am also developing specialised resources to help founders, entrepreneurs, and businesses navigate the complexities of Australia’s immigration system with confidence.
